On June 16th Meagan joined Long Beach Opera for its LBO On Display series to sing the title role in a workshop of NELL. A new opera by composer Shelley Washington and librettist Lisa Teasley, NELL tells the true story of Nell Theobald and her fixation on opera singer Birgit Nilsson. Under the baton of LBO Music Director Christopher Rountree, Meagan (Nell Theobald), Tiffany Townsend (Birgit Nilsson), Luc Kleiner (Gus), a quartet of choristers, and the celebrated ensemble Wild Up brought selections of this bold new work to life.
